THEATER BATTLE This is my first Re-Volt battle arena ever. Name - Theater Battle Author - The Green J Software used - Blender, Paint.net, PowerPoint, Audacity, RVGL's MAKEITGOOD, Anvil Studio, Keppy's MIDI Converter Story: Dateline, New York City, early 1920s. The Volken Theater was inspired when a young thespian moved into the city and discovered the lack of facilities for the creative arts on 54th Street. He started a movement when he performed in the streets, and used his busking funds to pay for the building of said theater. A few years after the building was finished, it was one of the finest performing arts venues in Brooklyn. Music, comedy, magic, and even acrobatics could all be found at the bustling Volken Theater. However, all good things must come to an end, for in 1941, when the United States entered World War II, the building had to be shuttered and overlooked in order to aid those in the service while people were drafted into battle. The theater's current owners hoped that after the war, the building would reopen. Unfortunately, such was not to be the case. Even after World War II, the theater remained abandoned due to not only lack of public interest, but surge in screen's popularity over stage as well. The mysterious, abandoned Volken Theater is now home to Battle Tag contests for RC cars. However, even with the theater closed, some things are more operational than others, and some had even come to life in an attempt to help classic theater get the last laugh... Trivia: - Once again, this level comes with its own specific music track. This time, it's a faster, more dramatic version of Moonlight Sonata - that's Ludwig van Beethoven's Piano Sonata No. 14 in C# minor, Op. 27, No. 2, arranged for MIDI by G.J. Arsante. - For some reason, before July 6th, 2023, the collision on the backstage slopes was one-sided. This would have been used for surprise attacks like shockwaves, fireworks, water bombs, and electric zaps, but SrPringlesArg asked me on Discord to fix said collision. So now that I answered his call, the collision now has more than one side. Thank you Pro Tips: - Hit the "Curtain" button to activate the front curtains. The curtains will close for a short time, creating a barrier between the seats and the stage. - Hit the light switch to turn on the spotlight. The spotlight will move side to side, and any car that runs into it will be thrown into the air and suffer brief turbulence (and somehow get oil on the tires).
